Gerson Ramirez

Sr Gov Relations Associate - Advance IL

Gerson Ramirez is the Senior Government Relations Associate at Advance Illinois, a bipartisan non-profit policy and advocacy organization that works to build a healthy and equitable education system for all Illinois children, students, and families from birth through postsecondary education.

He received his bachelor's in Sociology from North Park University and a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Michigan.

His commitment to the legislative process began in 2016 as a James H. Dunn Fellow on the Governor's Office education team. Gerson's experiences as a student in the Chicago Public School system and as a proud son of a childcare provider inspired him to pursue his current work to help strengthen the Birth-20 (B-20) continuum in Illinois.
